How to do UAN Registration
UAN must be registered and active on the official portal in order to log in. To sign in follow the step below:
- Click the “For Employees” link under “Services” on the EPFO homepage.
- Choose “Member UAN/Online Services” from the list of services.
- On the following screen, under “Important Links,” select “Activate UAN.”
- Provide the information requested on the following screen, including the captcha, your UAN number, member ID, Aadhaar number, name, and date of birth. Before clicking “Receive authorisation PIN,” be sure to tick the box indicating your agreement to provide your Aadhaar Number.
- You will receive an OTP on your mobile device. Choose the “Validate OTP and Activate UAN” option after entering this OTP. To access your PF account after UAN activation, EPFO will send you an SMS to your mobile device.
How can a company create UANs for recently hired employees?

What is the Password for the UAN Login?
- First, go to the UAN portal.

Update your Mobile Number in the UAN Portal
- Open the EPFO’s official website and select “For Employees” under the “Our Services” category.
- Choose the ‘Member UAN/Online Service (OCS/OTCP)’ option located under the ‘Services’ menu on the page that appears.
- To sign in, enter your UAN, password, and captcha.
- Next, select the ‘Contact Information’ option under the ‘Manage’ tab.
- You can now modify your email address or mobile number on the screen that has just opened. Choose the option to modify your mobile number.
