- All the state Government employees, pensioners and their families are eligible to apply for the West Bengal Health Scheme.
- Other than State Government employees this scheme can be availed by those persons who have opted for this under medical allowance
- All India service officers and pensioners of West Bengal can also take advantage of this scheme
- Under this scheme, the coverage is provided to self, spouse, parents, dependent children and dependent siblings
Facilities under West
Bengal Health Scheme
- As per this scheme, beneficiaries will get cashless indoor treatment up to Rs. 100000/- in empanelled hospitals per indoor.
- In case of treatment is done in non-empanelled hospitals 60% (80% where the number of beds is more than 80) of the approved Cost or the actual amount paid whichever is less
- Beneficiaries will get reimbursement for indoor treatment to exceed one lakh based on a claim to DDO/PSA
- Beneficiaries will also get reimbursement of OPD treatment costs incurred during the period of thirty days for the same cause for which indoor treatment is taken
- Reimbursement for certain specific disease OPD treatments will also be provided
- Beneficiaries will also get reimbursement for certain specified follow-up treatment costs also

Employee Registration Procedure Under West Bengal Health Scheme
To register as an employee you need

- With the help of a laptop/ computer and working internet connection you need to open the West Bengal Health Scheme Official portal of the Finance Department, Government of West Bengal
- From the home page of the website you have to go to the “online enrollment” option
- A dropdown list will appear on the screen where you have to choose “Govt. employee” option
- A new page appears on the screen where you need to enter the date of entry into govt. service and have PRAN/ G.P.F No if yes then you have to enter the number
- Click “OK” and the application form will appear on the screen you have to enter the details such as district, date of birth, name, gender, marital status, mobile number, email id, address, ID Proof, office location, department name etc.
- Upload your photo and signature in Size 10 kb to 50 kb Format JPEG form
- Upload the other documents (if any) and review the details you entered
- Submit the application form by click submit option

To register as a pensioner you need

- With the help of a laptop/ computer and a working internet connection, you need to open the Health Scheme Portal of the Finance Department, Government of West Bengal
- From the home page of the website you have to go to the “online enrollment” option
- A dropdown list will appear on the screen where you have to choose “Govt. Pensioner” option
- A new page appear on the screen where you need to choose you to have P.P.O. No. or not if yes then you have to enter the number
- Then click “Ok” and application form will appear on the screen you have to enter the details such as district, date of birth, name, gender, mobile number, email id, address, ID Proof, date of retirement, department name, last office location etc.
